ABB 1SBN020112R1000 – TEF4-ON is a compact front-mounted electronic ON-delay timer designed for ABB AF contactors and NF contactor relays. It provides an adjustable time-delay function from 0.1 to 100 seconds, allowing delayed switching operations to be implemented directly on the contactor without using a separate panel-mounted timer relay. The TEF4-ON operates over a wide 24–240 V AC/DC control-voltage range. It connects directly in parallel with the contactor or contactor-relay coil through terminals A1–A2, simplifying wiring and reducing the amount of additional control equipment required inside the panel. ABB also integrates a varistor surge suppressor into the timer to help protect against switching surges generated by the contactor coil.
