ABB 1SFA897108R7000 PSE85-600-70 Soft starter is an 85 A three-phase soft starter from ABB’s PSE series, designed for smooth starting and stopping of AC induction motors. It operates on a 208–600 V AC main circuit with a 100–250 V AC, 50/60 Hz control supply and is typically selected for approximately 45 kW / 60 HP motor applications. The PSE85-600-70 uses two-phase controlled soft-start technology and supports both voltage-ramp and torque-ramp starting/stopping. Its integrated built-in bypass reduces heat generation and power losses after the motor reaches normal speed. The ABB PSE range also provides advanced motor-management functions such as current limiting, kick start, electronic motor overload protection, underload protection, locked-rotor protection, analog output, event indication, and communication capability including Modbus RTU.
