It is designed for small to medium motors and operates on a 208–600 V AC main circuit with a 100–250 V AC, 50/60 Hz control supply. ABB India rates this model for 7.5 kW / 10 HP motor applications. The PSE18-600-70 uses two-phase control and supports soft start and soft stop through voltage or torque ramp. It has a built-in bypass, helping reduce energy losses and heat after the motor reaches normal operating speed. The PSE range also provides more advanced functions than the basic PSR range, including current limit, kick start, analog output, electronic overload protection, underload protection, and locked-rotor protection.
