ABB 1SFA896207R7000 PSRC16-600-70 Soft starter is a compact 16 A soft starter from ABB’s PSRC series, specifically designed for scroll compressor applications. It operates on a 208–600 V AC main circuit with a 100–240 V AC control supply. ABB rates this model for approximately 7.5 kW at 400–415 V. The PSRC16-600-70 uses two-phase controlled voltage-ramp starting and includes a built-in bypass to reduce energy losses and heat once the compressor reaches normal operating speed. ABB positions the PSRC family for scroll-compressor duty in HVAC and refrigeration applications.
