ABB 1SFA896113R7000 PSR72-600-70 Soft starter is a compact 72 A three-phase soft starter from ABB’s PSR range, designed for smooth starting and stopping of AC induction motors. It supports a 208–600 V AC main operational voltage and a 100–240 V AC, 50/60 Hz control supply. ABB India lists this model for approximately 37 kW / 50 HP motor applications. The PSR72-600-70 uses two-phase controlled voltage-ramp technology, reducing mechanical stress, sudden torque and electrical disturbances during motor startup. It has a built-in bypass, which reduces energy loss and heat generation after the motor reaches full speed. A RUN and TOR signal are available through normally-open relay outputs, while the start/stop ramp and voltage settings can be adjusted using three potentiometers on the front. ABB positions the PSR range as its compact soft starter family for small and medium three-phase motors. The range can manage up to 100 starts per hour, and common applications include pumps, fans, compressors and conveyors. Optional Fieldbus communication can be added using an external adapter and Fieldbus Plug.
