ABB 1SFA896113R1100 PSR72-600-11 Soft starter is a compact 72 A three-phase motor soft starter from ABB’s PSR series. It is designed for smooth starting and stopping of AC induction motors with a 208–600 V AC main operating voltage and 24 V AC/DC control supply. ABB’s 2026 product table associates this model with approximately 37 kW / 50 HP motor applications. The PSR72-600-11 uses two-phase voltage-ramp control for soft start and soft stop. This helps reduce starting-current disturbances, sudden torque and mechanical stress on motors, couplings, belts and driven machinery. A built-in bypass is integrated into the unit, reducing power losses and heat generation once the motor is running at normal speed. Common applications include pumps, fans, compressors and conveyors, and optional Fieldbus communication can be added using an external adapter and Fieldbus plug.
