ABB 1SFA896108R1100 PSR25-600-11 Soft starter is a compact 25 A three-phase soft starter from ABB’s PSR series, designed for smooth starting and stopping of AC induction motors. It operates with a 208–600 V AC main circuit voltage and a 24 V AC/DC control supply. ABB specifies the model for approximately 11 kW motor power at 400 V and 15 HP at 460 V. The PSR25-600-11 uses two-phase voltage-ramp control for soft start and soft stop. This reduces mechanical shock, starting torque and electrical stress compared with direct-on-line starting. It includes a built-in bypass, helping reduce heat generation and energy loss once the motor reaches full speed. RUN and TOR signals are available through normally-open relay outputs, while start/stop ramp settings are adjusted using three potentiometers on the front. The PSR range is suitable for applications including pumps, fans, compressors and conveyors, and can handle up to 100 starts per hour. Optional Fieldbus communication can also be added through an external adapter and Fieldbus plug.
