ABB 1SFA896107R7000 PSR16-600-70 Soft starter is a compact motor starting solution designed to provide smooth acceleration and deceleration of three-phase induction motors. It has a rated operational current of 16 A, supports a main operating voltage range of 208–600 V AC, and uses a 100–240 V AC, 50/60 Hz control supply. At 400 V, it is suitable for motors up to approximately 7.5 kW / 10 HP. The PSR16-600-70 uses two-phase controlled soft starting and soft stopping through voltage ramp control, helping reduce mechanical stress, starting torque shocks, and electrical disturbances associated with direct-on-line motor starting. It has a built-in bypass contactor, which reduces power losses and heat generation after the motor reaches full speed. Start and stop parameters can be conveniently adjusted using the three potentiometers located on the front panel. The unit provides a RUN indication through a normally-open relay output.
