It operates on a 208–600 V AC main circuit and uses a 24 V AC/DC control supply. ABB lists the unit at about 3–3.9 A operational current, depending on the catalogue convention, and it is typically suitable for approximately 1.5 kW motor applications. The PSR3-600-11 uses two-phase voltage-ramp control to reduce mechanical shock and electrical stress during motor starting and stopping. It includes a built-in bypass, which reduces heat generation and power losses once the motor has reached normal operating speed. A RUN signal is available through a normally-open relay output, and start/stop settings are adjusted using front-mounted potentiometers.
