ABB 1SYN412342R8600 (SDA-75) is a fully automatic Star-Delta motor starter designed for controlled starting of large three-phase induction motors. ABB identifies this ordering code as the SDA-75, 400–415 V coil version within its Star-Delta starter range. The starter is suitable for 75 HP / 55 kW motors operating at approximately 400–415 V AC. During starting, the motor windings are first connected in star, which reduces starting current compared with Direct-On-Line starting. After the preset transition period, the starter automatically switches the motor to delta for normal operation.
