1SYN322322R3800

ABB 1SYN322322R3800 (SDA-40) is a fully automatic Star-Delta motor starter designed for controlled starting of three-phase induction motors. ABB confirms this exact catalogue number as the SDA-40, 220–230 V coil variant in its Star-Delta Starter range. The Star-Delta starting arrangement initially connects the motor windings in star configuration, reducing starting current compared with Direct-On-Line starting. After the preset starting interval, the starter automatically changes the motor connection to delta configuration for normal operation. Typical applications include pumps, compressors, fans, blowers, conveyors, HVAC systems, machine tools and industrial process machinery where reduced starting current is required.
