ABB 1SYN246322R3800 (SDA-25) is a fully automatic Star-Delta motor starter designed for controlled starting of approximately 25 HP / 18.5 kW three-phase induction motors. This variant uses a 220–230 V AC control coil and is suitable for motor systems operating around 415 V AC, 50 Hz. During startup, the motor windings are first connected in star configuration, helping reduce starting current compared with Direct-On-Line starting. After the preset transition period, the starter automatically changes to delta configuration for normal running. Typical applications include pumps, compressors, fans, blowers, conveyors, HVAC systems, machine tools and industrial process machinery.
