1SYN242322R8600

ABB 1SYN242322R8600 (SDA-15) is a fully automatic Star-Delta motor starter designed for controlled starting of 15 HP / 11 kW three-phase induction motors. ABB identifies this exact catalogue number as the SDA-15 with a 400–415 V AC coil. During startup, the motor windings are initially connected in star configuration, reducing the voltage applied across each winding and therefore lowering the starting current compared with direct-on-line starting. After the preset transition period, the starter automatically changes the motor connection to delta configuration for normal running. Typical applications include pumps, compressors, fans, blowers, conveyors, HVAC equipment, machine tools and industrial process machinery.
