ABB 1SYN184322R8600 (SDA-12.5) is a fully automatic Star-Delta motor starter designed for controlled starting of three-phase induction motors. Unlike a DOL starter, a Star-Delta starter initially connects the motor windings in star configuration to reduce starting current, then automatically changes to delta configuration for normal running.
