ABB 1SAM340000R1012, model MS132-12T, is a compact 3-pole circuit breaker designed for primary-side protection of control transformers. It provides fuse less overload and short-circuit protection and has a compact 45 mm width, making it suitable for industrial control panels, automation systems, machine control panels and OEM applications. The MS132-12T has an adjustable current setting range of 8–12 A and a rated operational current of 12 A. Its instantaneous magnetic short-circuit release is fixed at 240 A, which is approximately 20 times the rated operational current. This high magnetic trip threshold helps accommodate the inrush current generated when transformers are energized. The breaker provides Trip Class 10 protection and a rated service short-circuit breaking capacity of 100 kA at 400 V AC.
