The ABB AF09-40-00-12 Contactor, Part No. 1SBL137201R1200, is a compact 4-pole power contactor intended mainly for switching non-inductive or slightly inductive loads, such as resistance heating, industrial power circuits, and general-purpose switching applications. It uses ABB’s AF electronic coil technology, which accepts a wide control-voltage range of 48–130 V AC at 50/60 Hz and 48–130 V DC. ABB notes that AF contactors can tolerate substantial control-voltage variation and include built-in surge protection, reducing the need for an additional surge suppressor.

The contactor has 4 NO main contacts and no factory-mounted auxiliary contacts. It is rated at 25 A AC-1 at 690 V up to 60°C, with a conventional free-air thermal current of 35 A. ABB also specifies an AC-3 rating of 9 A at 380/400/415/440 V, corresponding to approximately 4 kW at 400–440 V.
