The ABB AF09-40-00-11 Contactor, Part No. 1SBL137201R1100, is a compact 4-pole power contactor with 4 normally-open main contacts. It uses ABB’s electronic AF coil technology with a wide control-voltage range of 24–60 V AC, 50/60 Hz, and 20–60 V DC. ABB notes that AF contactors can handle wide control-voltage variations and include built-in surge protection, so an additional surge suppressor is generally not required.

This model is rated for main circuits up to 690 V AC. In AC-1 duty it is rated at 25 A at 690 V and 40–60°C, while its conventional free-air thermal current is 35 A. Although this is a 4-pole contactor mainly intended for AC-1-type switching, ABB also publishes AC-3 ratings of 9 A at 380/400/415/440 V, corresponding to approximately 4 kW at 400/415/440 V.
