ABB 1SAM350000R1012 (MS132-12) is a compact Manual Motor Starter (MMS), also commonly called a Motor Protection Circuit Breaker (MPCB), designed for manual switching and reliable protection of electric motors. It features an adjustable thermal current setting of 8 to 12 A, rated operational current of 12 A, and trip class 10. The MS132-12 protects motors against short circuits, overloads and phase failures. ABB specifies a very high 100 kA rated service short-circuit breaking capacity at 400 V AC, together with a rated insulation voltage of 690 V. The unit also includes a built-in disconnect function, temperature compensation, trip-free mechanism and a lockable rotary operating handle.
