ABB 1SAM250000R1011 (MS116-16) is a compact Manual Motor Starter (MMS), commonly referred to as a Motor Protection Circuit Breaker (MPCB), designed for switching, isolation and protection of electric motors. It provides an adjustable thermal overload setting range of 10 to 16 A, with a rated operational current of 16 A and trip class 10A. Integrated thermal and magnetic protection functions provide protection against motor overload, short-circuit and phase-failure conditions. The MS116-16 features 3-pole construction, 690 V rated insulation voltage, screw-terminal connections and a compact 45 mm width. It is suitable for DIN-rail installation and can be combined with ABB accessories such as auxiliary contacts, signaling contacts, shunt trips and undervoltage releases. For standard three-phase motor applications, the corresponding motor rating is approximately 7.5 kW at 400 V AC.
