ABB 1SAM250000R1009 (MS116-6.3) is a compact Manual Motor Starter (MMS), also commonly referred to as a Motor Protection Circuit Breaker (MPCB), designed for manual switching, isolation and protection of electric motors. It features an adjustable thermal overload setting range of 4.0 to 6.3 A, with a rated operational current of 6.3 A and trip class 10A. The unit provides protection against motor overload, short circuits and phase failure, while also incorporating a built-in disconnect function, temperature compensation, trip-free mechanism and rotary handle with clear switch-position indication. The MS116-6.3 offers 50 kA Ics at 400 V AC, uses screw terminals, and supports operating voltages up to 690 V AC. It is suitable for DIN-rail mounting and can be combined with ABB accessories such as auxiliary contacts, signaling contacts, shunt trips and undervoltage releases.
