ABB 1SAM250000R1006 (MS116-1.6) is a compact Manual Motor Starter (MMS), also known as a Motor Protection Circuit Breaker (MPCB), designed for manual switching and reliable protection of motors. It has an adjustable thermal setting range of 1.0 to 1.6 A, a rated operational current of 1.6 A, and trip class 10A. It provides protection against motor overload, short circuits and phase failure, without requiring a separate fuse for normal motor-protection functionality. The MS116-1.6 offers a 50 kA rated service short-circuit breaking capacity at 400 V AC, a built-in disconnect function, temperature compensation, trip-free mechanism and rotary handle with clear ON/OFF indication. It is suitable for both three-phase and single-phase motor applications and supports accessories such as auxiliary contacts, signaling contacts, shunt trips and undervoltage releases.
