Description
ABB 1SAM201903R1002 SK1-20 Signal Contact is a side-mounted signaling accessory developed for ABB manual motor starters and motor protection devices. It incorporates two normally open (2NO) auxiliary contacts used primarily for general trip signaling. When the associated manual motor starter trips, the SK1-20 changes contact state so the fault condition can be communicated to an external indication, alarm circuit, PLC, control relay or automation system. ABB lists the SK1-20 for use with MS116, MS132, MO132, MS132-T, MS165 and MO165 motor protection devices. The accessory is mounted on the right-hand side of the starter and is especially useful in MCC panels, industrial machinery, automation panels and motor control systems where remote trip-status feedback is required. ABB's catalog specifically distinguishes SK1 signaling contacts as accessories for tripped alarm indication.
