The ABB M1M 20 Modbus is a digital panel-mounted power meter designed to monitor electrical parameters and energy consumption in industrial and commercial electrical distribution systems. It supports measurement of voltage, current, frequency, power and active energy, along with total harmonic distortion (THD) and four-quadrant import/export measurement for basic power-quality analysis and energy management.

The meter features an LCD display, current transformer (CT) inputs rated at 1 A or 5 A, and an auxiliary supply of 100–230 V AC/DC. Its built-in Modbus RTU communication enables measured data to be transmitted through an RS-485 serial interface to PLCs, SCADA systems, building management systems and energy-monitoring software. It is suitable for front-panel installation in switchboards and electrical distribution panels.
