Surge protective devices (SPD) Type 2 protect low-voltage electrical installations against transient overvoltage's caused by lightning-induced surges and switching operations. The ABB OVR T2 3N 80-275s P QS is a four-pole, plug-in surge protective device designed for three-phase systems with neutral. It provides a nominal discharge current of 20 kA and a maximum discharge current of 80 kA (8/20 µs waveform). The device supports TT and TN-S earthing systems and features reserve-varistor technology, which maintains basic protection when the primary varistor reaches the end of its service life, until the device is replaced. It is designed for 35 mm DIN-rail mounting and complies with IEC 61643-11 / EN 61643-11. It is compatible with the ABB System pro M compact series.
