The ABB OVR T2 80-275s P QS (2CTB815708R1200) is a Type 2 surge protective device designed to protect low-voltage electrical installations and connected equipment against transient overvoltage's caused by indirect lightning effects and switching operations. Tested in accordance with IEC/EN 61643-11, this single-pole device is suitable for compatible TT, TN-C and TN-S electrical distribution systems with a nominal system voltage of 230/400 V AC. It has a maximum continuous operating voltage of 275 V AC, a nominal discharge current of 30 kA and a maximum discharge current of 80 kA using an 8/20 μs current waveform. Its lightning impulse current rating is 6.25 kA, and its voltage protection level is 1.4 kV. The device incorporates ABB's patented Safety Reserve technology, which provides basic residual surge protection at the end of the primary varistor's service life until the device is replaced. Its compact, plug-in construction is compatible with the ABB System pro M compact range and supports installation on a standard 35 mm DIN rail. It is suitable for main and sub-distribution boards in residential, commercial and industrial electrical installations.
