The ABB OVR T2 80-275s P TS QS (2CTB815708R0000) is a Type 2 surge protective device designed to protect low-voltage electrical installations and connected equipment against transient overvoltages caused by indirect lightning effects and switching operations. Tested in accordance with IEC/EN 61643-11, it is suitable for compatible TT, TN-C and TN-S electrical distribution systems with a nominal voltage of 230/400 V AC. This single-pole device has a maximum continuous operating voltage of 275 V AC, a nominal discharge current of 30 kA and a maximum discharge current of 80 kA using an 8/20 μs current waveform. Its lightning impulse current rating is 6.25 kA, with a voltage protection level of 1.4 kV. The device incorporates ABB's Safety Reserve technology, which maintains basic surge protection at the end of the primary varistor's service life until replacement. Its plug-in construction supports installation on a standard 35 mm DIN rail. The TS version supports auxiliary-contact signaling for remote monitoring of device status. It is suitable for use in residential, commercial and industrial distribution boards requiring high-capacity Type 2 surge protection.
