The ABB OVR T2 40-440s P QS (2CTB815704R4100) is a Type 2 surge protective device designed to protect low-voltage electrical installations and connected equipment against transient overvoltage's caused by indirect lightning effects and switching operations. It is tested in accordance with IEC/EN 61643-11 and is suitable for compatible electrical distribution systems, including TT, TN-C and TN-S configurations. This single-pole device has a maximum continuous operating voltage of 440 V AC, a nominal discharge current of 20 kA and a maximum discharge current of 40 kA using an 8/20 μs current waveform. It provides a voltage protection level of 1.8 kV and features a plug-in design compatible with ABB System pro M compact products. The integrated reserve-varistor technology provides basic residual surge protection at the end of the primary varistor's service life until the device is replaced. It is designed for installation on a standard 35 mm DIN rail in main or sub-distribution boards serving industrial, commercial and other suitable electrical installations.
