ABB OVR T2 1N 40-275s P QS is a Type 2 surge protective device designed to protect low-voltage electrical installations against transient overvoltages caused by lightning-induced surges and switching operations. It is compatible with ABB System pro M compact modular equipment and is suitable for 230/400 V AC distribution systems using TT and TN-S earthing arrangements.

The device has two protected poles, a maximum continuous operating voltage of 275 V AC, a nominal discharge current of 20 kA and a maximum discharge current of 40 kA (8/20 μs). Its plug-in design facilitates cartridge replacement. The integrated reserve-varistor technology helps maintain basic surge protection when the primary varistor reaches the end of its service life, until the device is replaced. It is intended for DIN-rail mounting in suitable electrical distribution enclosures.
