The ABB OVR T2 40-275 P TS QS (2CTB803871R1700) is a single-pole Type 2 surge protective device designed to protect low-voltage electrical installations and connected equipment against transient overvoltage's caused by indirect lightning effects and switching operations. Tested in accordance with IEC/EN 61643-11, it is suitable for compatible 230/400 V AC distribution systems using TT, TN-C and TN-S earthing arrangements. The device has a maximum continuous operating voltage of 275 V AC, a nominal discharge current of 20 kA and a maximum discharge current of 40 kA using an 8/20 μs current waveform. It provides a voltage protection level of 1.25 kV to help limit surge voltages reaching sensitive electrical and electronic equipment. Its compact, plug-in design is compatible with ABB System pro M compact products and supports installation on a standard 35 mm DIN rail. The TS version includes an auxiliary signaling contact for remote monitoring of the surge protective device's status. It is suitable for residential, commercial and industrial distribution boards where Type 2 surge protection is required.
