The ABB DWA1 Digital Astronomical Time Switch (2CSM222511R1000) is a single-channel programmable digital timer designed for automatic control of electrical loads based on weekly schedules and astronomical sunrise and sunset times. It is suitable for public lighting, shop-window illumination, building façade lighting, illuminated signs and other applications requiring automatic switching according to local daylight conditions.

The device provides a digital display, manual switching, holiday programming, impulse and cycle programs, random switching, and automatic summer/winter time adjustment. Its astronomical programming function enables switching times to follow sunrise and sunset based on configured geographical coordinates. The timer includes a potential-free changeover contact for controlling compatible external circuits and supports up to 120 program entries. Its compact two-module housing is designed for standard DIN-rail installation in electrical distribution boards.
