The ABB DWA2 Digital Astronomical Time Switch (2CSM222501R1000) is a two-channel programmable digital time switch designed to automatically control electrical lighting circuits based on weekly schedules and calculated sunrise and sunset times. It uses the programmed date, time, geographical coordinates and time zone to calculate daily switching times throughout the year, making it suitable for public lighting, shop windows, illuminated signs, building façades, monuments and other outdoor lighting applications.

The device supports independent control of two channels, weekly and astronomical programming, holiday schedules, impulse and cycle programs, random switching, manual operation and automatic summer/winter time adjustment. It features a digital display with text guidance, potential-free changeover contacts, a power reserve for retaining time and settings, and a compact modular enclosure for 35 mm DIN-rail mounting.
