The ABB M1M 20B-05 Modbus is a digital panel-mounted power meter designed for monitoring electrical systems in industrial and commercial installations. It measures key electrical parameters, including voltage, current, frequency, active power, reactive power, apparent power, power factor and energy consumption. It also supports total harmonic distortion (THD) and four-quadrant import/export energy measurement, making it suitable for basic power-quality analysis, power-factor management and local energy-generation monitoring.

The meter features an LED display, Modbus RTU communication through an RS-485 interface and one digital output for pulse signaling. It can be integrated with PLCs, SCADA systems and energy-management platforms for remote data collection and monitoring. Its Class 0.5 accuracy rating distinguishes it from the Class 1 version of the M1M 20B range.
