It is designed for manually transferring an electrical load between two independent power sources, such as Mains–Generator, Mains–UPS, Generator–Generator, or alternate incoming supplies. The switch provides I–0–II change-over operation, enabling the operator to select the first source, isolate the load in the centre OFF position, or connect the second source. The 4-pole configuration allows simultaneous switching of three phases and neutral, making it suitable for three-phase four-wire electrical distribution systems.
